Moles
Moles seem to be a mystery for most people. They can appear at anytime although they typically appear during the first twenty years of life. Moles usually appear as brown spots, but they can grow darker in color as well as grow in size. In some cases, moles may even become cancerous. In these cases, the miles will have to be removed surgically.

If you have a mole, there is a simple method used to examine and evaluate your moles. Simply remember this: ABCDE.
A = Asymmetry
B = Border
C = Color
D = Diameter
E = Evolving

A normal, healthy mole will remain unchanged in both size and color. However, if you notice any of the ABCDE's, you should contact your medical provider as soon as possible. While a mole may change color due to normal circumstances such as spending a day at the beach, it is better to be safe than sorry and have your mole checked out if you notice the mole has changed a significant deal in color. The same rule applies to any other major physical change to your mole or moles.

If you are concerned about the appearance of your moles, there is the possibility of using a skin bleach/lightening cream or gel. These safe, non-toxic ointments simply take the color out of the mole so that it blends in with the color of your skin. While a mole on your body might not bother you, many people choose to use address the moles on their face.
